Strippy Stars Stardom

There is this wonderful ruler out there named Strippy Stars. It's an amazing Creative Grids ruler that helps us make stars. The best part of making those stars is realizing that you never lose your points with this ruler.

I love that we can make stars of all sizes, even small stars that fit inside of other stars or the center of quilt blocks. In class, I show you how to build this small quilt so you can create a wall hanging or baby quilt. However, I use a pattern in a book by Deb Heatherly. You can see it on the cover of the book in the photo.

This is one of those projects where you can make it out of scraps.

For a BIG quilt like on the cover of the book:

24 light fat eighths for variety or lights to total approximately 3 yards.

16-20 (1/8 yd cuts) or lots of scraps to total 2 1/2 yd.

Inner boarder - 1/2 yd. Outer boarder - 7/8 yd. Binding 1/2 yd.

For the smaller quilt like we will make in class.

Adapt the above or pull out those scraps and just have fun.

ALL ZOOM classes are recorded and downloadable for 5 DAYS (120 hours) after the live class. The recording is e-mailed to registered students after class. Links to the pdf of the class PowerPoint is shared as a permanent reference for class content.

A listing of class supplies will be shared by the instructor prior to the start of class. The class link is generally mailed 2-3 hours prior to class so the link doesn't get lost in personal emails.
