Welcome!
Let's get acquainted!
Meet Eileen Thompson-Kisicki
So glad you're stopping by!
My mission is to make creative quilting possible for quilters worldwide. Using a virtual classroom, quilters connect sewing room to sewing room. No matter how they quilt, I guide them through the quilting process while exposing them to the Accuquilt landscape. Positive thinking and genuine integrity are honored while learning opportunities are offered with genuine support, motivation, caring and inspiration. Growth is enabled. Camaraderie is encouraged so that a healthy quilting community benefits all who participate around the globe.
In 2018, I learned about Accuquilt through the Aurora Sewing Center in Buffalo, New York. As an educator with Aurora, I was asked to figure out the cutting system and dies. I jumped in, learning about cutting on length of grain, and the rest is history. Now I toot the Accuquilt horn and help quilters feel confident with using their amazing Accuquilt tools.
My first project: the flying geese wall hanging from the Pattern Idea booklet that came with the Electric Go cutter. I was amazed at the accuracy, ecstatic at the time saved, and thrilled with the professional results. My quilt was impressive!
Suddenly, making flying geese was a dream!!! I ventured into embroidery and applique, discovering that Accuquilt is an overall awesome 'must' for accurate, creative quilting. My heart has been full ever since. I enthusiastically nurture my quilting soul and share all my mistakes so other's learn from them.
With open arms, I welcome you into this Accuquilt quilting world. We learn from each other every single day, and life is good.
Teaching Background
Since 2015, I enjoyed life as a quilting teacher with the Aurora Sewing Center stores in the Buffalo, New York area. My learning journey included Edge-to-Edge quilting with Amelie Scott Designs, Pauline Rogers Quilt-as-you-Go techniques, the Ten Sisters Grid designs, Lori Holt quilts, fun with T-shirt quilts, Watercolor quilts and Fidget quilts, free motion play, all things Accuquilt and more.
I do not work for Accuquilt although you would call me a free ambassador. I acquire Accuquilt skills as an 'in-the-trenches' learner and pass my knowledge to you. My goal: to help you open and use the Accuquilt cutter, its Qubes and Dies. No longer will your dies sit on the shelf collecting dust. No longer will you be intimidated. I help you become an independent, confident quilter through my QuiltersB.com online business.
Before life as a professional quilter, I parented 16 children. Then, for 34 years, as the owner/director of a year round equestrian program, I offered a character development camp experience to youth worldwide, teaching horseback riding and independent living skills with horses as my teaching partners. During that time, it was also my privilege as a school counselor to work in a local elementary school. Quilting has been my therapeutic escape, something I wanted to do when I retired. So, happily, now I am yours.
August 2023, I began the Accuquilt Learning and Support Facebook page. That has grown to over 14,000 followers. If you haven't already, please join that page. It's active fun within a phenomenal global community of upbeat quilters. You'll love it. Promise.
On July 1, 2025. I am thrilled, excited, and nervous to announce that QuiltersB.com will be my official source of income. All virtual classes will be offered through QuiltersB and its quilting bee spirit on Zoom. At times, I will share classes where I am a guest presenter a quilt shop on the internet. You will benefit. There will be retreats, lecture/demo classes, and hands-on learning all in your own sewing space.
My dream is to invite guest presenters to share their expertise with us. That will happen in time. Meanwhile, your input and ideas are always welcome. This is a teacher who listens to you and works hard to meet the sewing/quilting needs you may have. That's what makes this adventure so much fun.
