A foundation paper piecing class

Basic foundation paper piecing is a delight. For many it is written-off as frustrating. However, paper piecing can be a respite from daily activities.

This project teaches how to make four basic trees. We start with the easiest and gradually expand our skills to the more complicated. It is like putting a puzzle together, sewing fabric onto paper, and creating a lovely table runner or wall hanging.

Supplies for the class? A pack of Carol Doan's Foundation Paper, scraps of green fabrics and brown for the tree trunks. Either scraps for the background or a few fat quarters. Possibly 1/2 yd for borders, and 1 1/2 yd for the backing. Won't you join me?

I have come to appreciate paper piecing and the look it creates. The straight lines define the shapes. It's like art in your home, art made from your own hands. It's an awesome conversation starter, and you can smile with pride because you are the artist.

ALL ZOOM classes are recorded and downloadable for 5 DAYS (120 hours) after the live class. The recording is e-mailed to registered students after class. Links to the pdf of the class PowerPoint is shared as a permanent reference for class content.

A listing of class supplies will be shared by the instructor prior to the start of class. The class link is generally mailed 2-3 hours prior to class so the link doesn't get lost in personal emails.
