The concept of watercolor quilts is novel. It's working with precut squares and a fusible grid, blending fabrics so they meld together. The end result: the creation of a feeling or a scene that is enchanting.
Are there tricks to putting these together? A few. That's where the class comes in handy. Take the class as a beginner and learn the basics or if you've had a class previously, jump in and create a table runner or wall hanging.
This is an awesome summer adventure that takes us away from the daily routine into fantasy and art. I hope you'll join us. The class is sponsored by Jennifer Davis and the Little Shop of Stitches in Ohio. Register here.
August 8th and 22nd, Friday, 2-5:00 p.m. Eastern

July 8th, August 5th and September 9th - 9:00-4:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Overwhelmed quilters need uninterrupted sewing time for unfinished projects, Christmas sewing, and for catch-up on class work.
Many want company in their sewing room. Others want to know there is someone who can help them with a skill. So, join me in my sewing room. I will join you in yours. Let's help each other, and sew together on Zoom.
Schedule one day once a month for uninterrupted sewing. Write it on the calendar. Educate your family that you are dedicating that day to the sewing room. Maybe plan ahead so supper is in the freezer.
Call this a mini-retreat, a therapeutic respite, or a Christmas workshop. The spirit is the same; we are all like elves preparing for that big day when we gift a quilt to someone. Many of us just need to breathe and create.
I am offering the first three days - July, August and September - on a Tuesday from 9-4:00 p.m. If it goes well, we will try three more days - October, November and December - on a Thursday from 9-4:00 p.m. By switching the days, it gives those who can't do Tuesdays a chance to join a different day.
Also, it is possible to register for one day or two or three. Please know that the cost is slightly less if you pay for the three day package. But this payment option gives you some flexibility, month to month.
Back by popular demand, the Mondo Bag class is here again to help you with Christmas gifting. Yup! This is one of the most popular classes we've done. Our quilters love making this bag because it is an ideal stash buster and a terrific gift.
This bag is big enough to stuff it with a wedding quilt and give the bag along with the quilt to the happy wedding couple. It is big enough for a bunch of beach towels, a picnic lunch, or quilt supplies for a quilt retreat.
You will need the large Mondo Bag pattern because the pattern contains the fusible grids necessary for the bag construction. I will give you hands-on class instruction, a study guide, and the recording of class afterwards. Don't miss it! Just in time for Christmas. You will be ahead of the game and pleased with yourself. Click here to register.
Note that this class is sponsored by the Little Shop of Stitches in Miamisburg, Ohio.
Tuesday, August 26th and September 2nd, 2-5:00 p.m. Eastern time.
Working with grids is totally amazing. To think you can create a quilt that looks like the photo on the left is mindboggling. Pick out fabrics - even ugly fabrics - and cut them into squares that can be placed on a fusible grid. Just look at the kind of pattern you could do.
For this class, if you are a beginner, pick out a free pattern from the Ten Sisters website, and I will show you some really easy and satisfying fun. If you have done an easy grid previously, pick out a pattern that is more challenging and let's do it.
Make patterns and designs that you never would do on your own. Let me show you how the grids are a tool for something wonderful. This is sooo much fun. Click here if you would like to join me in some summer escape.
Alerting anyone wanting to attend Accuquilt Club that it is on Thursday, July 10th, 2-4:00 p.m. Eastern time. (Check your time zone) This Club can be a one time visit or I welcome you to attend regularly.
We talk dies, sales, tips and tricks, and then usually there is some topic we address. It is recorded and happily downloadable. There is also a PowerPoint pdf.
This is a great entry level Zoom class. After the PowerPoint we open our microphones for dialoguing about questions and answers. I demo anything that needs a real time explanation.
Bring your questions and we will answer them.
Click here to register. You may register for July, August and September on the same page. Consider all three or one at a time.
Saturday, July 26th and August 2nd, 10-1:00 p.m. Eastern time
Learn the difference between applique and embroidery. See how one can enhance the other, and how they can partner up to create stunning designs.
Applique can easily be managed on our domestic machines, and with good results. Embroidery, however, requires an embroidery sewing machine with hoops that will accommodate the size of your applique shapes.
This class is a lecture/demo that walks you through the process, and hopefully gets you excited about the ease with which either is accomplished while using the Accuquilt methods. Interested? Click here to register.

While we visit the basics of the Angles and Corners in the Part 1 class, we explore more advanced design options in the Part 2 class. This is a class that stretches your skills; you have free reign with colors and block sizes. It is very satisfying.
Some quilt block patterns will challenge, inspire or amaze you. They will be special creations that when used as table toppers, wall hangings or focal blocks in a beautiful quilt can be an expressive work of art. Anything is possible!
Take on the challenge. Build on what you learned in Angles and Corners #1. Let me teach you the tips and tricks behind handling bigger blocks with more parts than you may have tackled before. The results are delightful.

This die is awesome for learning how to cut and sew curves. If you've not done that before, then this class is for you.
Curves can feel easy because Accuquilt has created notches on the cut pieces to match up as you sew. And the fun you can have with color is phenomenal.
Stand back and squint at the sample above. The secondary circular pattern that is created is awesome. Just like interlocking rings, you can understand why this could be an alternate wedding quilt pattern.
I do hope you'll come play with your flowering snowball die. Let me inspire you and motivate you to be creative. Click here to register for class Monday, September 15th, 2-5 p.m. Eastern time.
3 Saturdays: August 9th, 23rd, and September 6th, 10-1:00 p.m.

There is just nothing quite as amazing as the Hunter's Star die. The pattern can delight with two colors or many. This class will teach both approaches.
If you're into the scrappy look, you will get tips and tricks for creating something special. Gradually, as you build the quilt blocks, colors interact with each other, and you will smile.
Even if you have taken this class before, come play again. I'm ready to dive in with quilt #2. Won't you join me? Make your weekend special. Try out a Sunday class. Click here to register for July good times.
Basic foundation paper piecing is a delight. For some who say it is frustrating, let me teach you how to enjoy the process and make it a restful escape from the daily routine.
This project teaches you how to make four basic trees. We start with the easiest tree and graduate to the more difficult. It's a puzzle where we sew fabric to paper and create a table runner or wall hanging that is delightful.
Supplies for class? A package of Carol Doak's foundation paper, scraps of green fabric, brown or black for the trunks, an Add-a-Quarter Plus ruler, and a small 28 mm rotary cutter. Then you're good unless you want to add fabric for a border and backing.
Join me for some paper piecing fun in August. Click here to register for class or click on the photo to the left. See you then.
Many exclaim, “I am terrible at choosing fabrics for my quilts.” So, let’s do a class and talk about that. I'm all in. Are you?
Allow me to give you tips and tricks for selecting fabrics. Talk values, shades, tints, dark, medium and light with me. Get into a helpful mindset for choosing just what you need next time around.
Remove the stress. Playing with fabric can be fun. I'll even give resources that are helpful for choosing color combos.
Interested. Class is July 31st, 2-5:00 p.m. Click here to register.

Learn the possibilities for the Drunkard's Path design. Be inspired. Then too, learn how to work with the shapes on the Drunkard's Path die. It's easier than you think.
Many have asked to participate in this quilting adventure. Their grandmothers made quilts with this age old design. Now they want to pass along a quilt that is similar.
There are two classes for this die of the month on Friday, August 1st and 8th, 10-1:00 p.m. Eastern time. Class is recorded and downloadable. Hope you'll join me. Click here to register. Then write the date on your calendar.
