If you think you would like to get educated about all things 'borders', this is the class for you.
Look at the importance of borders on a quilt, types of borders, what to consider when adding a border to a quilt, and how to add that border so the edges of your quilt are not wavy.
Learn several popular border patterns, look at where Accuquilt fits in the process and check out how Pauline Rogers tackles borders. Then, there's mitered corners, cornerstones, and Ten Sisters borders, and even a free motion discussion.
This class is full of information. It will benefit you for years to come.

There have been many requests for this class again. So we have inserted the Winding Way class to kick off spring. It is an excellent practice for sewing curves, and it is addictive. Once you get going it is hard to stop.
Come join us. Be inspired with how much fun you can have with this die. Learn to create the block. You'll be on fire and an enthusiastic for sewing and using your Accuquilt cutting system.
Look at the secondary pattern: interlocking circles. Another possibility for a wedding quilt?
Six classes starting February 13th and 20th, 10-1:00 p.m. Eastern time.
Tackle the more complicated Angles and Corners Part 2. Bigger blocks. More stunning designs. Focal blocks. More challenges. It's a fun class with delightful results. You will be amazed with what you can do with your
Angles and Corners Mix and Match sets.
This class is a follow-up to Angles and Corners Part 1. Once you've learned the basics in Part 1, this second class is a step up. I love the blocks in this class. Past students have enjoyed the learning. I hope you will join me in February. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER
Six classes: February 13 and 20, March 13 and 20, April 10 and 17, 10-1:00 p.m. Eastern
Monday, April 6th and 13th, 10-1:00 p.m. Eastern.
Often we purchase an Accuquilt bundle. That sets us up with all the basics for entering the Accuquilt landscape. However, when there is a Qube as part of the bundle, we may never take the cellophane off that Qube. It will sit on the shelf forever unless we make an effort to learn what the Qube is about.
This class is a hands-on introduction to the Qube. Learn about marking your Qube, and cutting with the shapes. Learn about sewing the shapes into a simple quilt block and a more complicated quilt block. Then you will be all set for any Accuquilt adventure on the horizon.
Ahead of time, send me your questions so everything gets answered. I will do demos. You will practice. I will show you the process for sewing a quilt block. Those beautiful blocks you see in beautiful quilts will become reality for you because I will teach you how to make your dreams come true.
Starting April 2nd and 9th, 10-1:00 p.m. Eastern
Continuing May 7th and 14th, June 4th and 18th
Jen Kingwell is an amazing quilter from Australia that writes amazing patterns. When this pattern turned up, I grabbed it and said, "We've got to try that!" So here is a photo of the pattern with lots of smaller quilt blocks, some of them applique, some of them quilted.
If you're interested in trying this with me, I'm opening the class in April, May and June. Let's rev up our love for cool bags and play with this sack. Then we'll all be set for delivering our gifts over Christmas. Or perhaps it could be a bag for packing beach towels or loading up for in-person quilt retreats.
'Sacks' are awesome any time of the year. Join me by clicking here.
Six classes starting April 18 and May 2, 10-1:00 p.m. Eastern
Have you traveled these United States? Are there states that recall treasured memories? Where were you born? Where have you lived? Where do you like to vacation? Honor those states with their state block in a quilt.
I have quilt block patterns for all 50 states that I will convert for you so that you might cut them with Accuquilt. If you have states you want to highlight in a quilt or a wall hanging, this could be a lot of fun. Create the state blocks. Make yourself a patriotic quilt for the 250th year!
Or if you have one state you want to celebrate, then make a quilt with that state block. Perhaps you would want to use the 16" Qube and make fewer blocks. One block out of the 16" could create a small lap. Ideas, Ideas. We can brainstorm and sew together. I am happy to work with you on what you would like to do. Give yourself some sewing practice and let's play!
April 18 and May 2, May 23 and 30, June 20 and 27, 10-1:00 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday and Monday, February 14, 15 and 16th, 9-5:00 Eastern time.
If you've never attended one of my QuiltersB virtual quilt retreats, you've missed out. We quilt and chat for three days in the casual, relaxed atmosphere of our own sewing rooms. It's flexible. You have the flexibility to come and go. Perhaps go to church, no problem. Just pop back in when you're able.
We sew UFOs, Christmas and birthday gifts, and catch up on class projects. Some complete a quilt or cut pieces for future classes. We also learn. In this retreat, I will review some past BOB dies, or ruler classes. You will receive the pdf of those PowerPoints. Perhaps you have a request for what is taught? Make yourself wiser.
So, give yourself a Valentine's Day gift. Sign up for our coming retreat. You'll be glad you did, believe me, especially knowing that we're also building friendships.
I love sewing with you.
The Mariner's Star (or Mariner's Compass) is one of the oldest none quilt patterns, tracing back to early American quilting traditions. Directly inspired by the decorative directional symbol printed on nautical charts, it now comes to us as a stunning quilt block.
Accuquilt noted the challenge for cutting this with a rotary cutter. Their BOB die gives us all the pieces so we might cut a block easily and sew it together efficiently and with ease, creating a 12" quilt block.
This will be a delight to play with. Let me create shortcuts for tackling this block construction. In addition, you will receive a recording from class and also a study guide as your partner for piecing.

The Carpenter's Wheel, also known as the Carpenter's Star, has been a sweetheart to many a quilter since the mid 1800's. Because it has endured so long and is a noted favorite, Accuquilt created this BOB die so we might have an easier time of cutting the multiple pieces.
Thank you, Accuquilt, and this quilt block finishes at 18". Wow! But some of us need help with understanding the cutting and piecing of this block. And so the class is offered by QuiltersB that you may get instruction and then ask questions.
I stay with you until you grasp the process. You receive a recording of the class that is downloadable. You receive a copy of a study guide that will be yours forever as a helpmate for when you create Carpenter's Star quilt blocks. And you are invited to join a classroom Facebook page so that you always have an arena for questions answered or help.
Schedule uninterrupted sewing time.
These mini retreats are offered through QuiltersB to promote the idea that we can all sew together and be motivation for each other.

Christmas Workshop Thursdays:
January 29th, March 5th and April 16th, 2026
Overwhelmed quilters need uninterrupted sewing time for unfinished projects, Christmas sewing, and for catch-up on class work.
Many want company in their sewing room. Others want to know there is someone who can help them with a skill. So, join me in my sewing room. I will join you in yours. Let's help each other, and sew together on Zoom.
Schedule one day once a month for uninterrupted sewing. Write it on the calendar. Educate your family that you are dedicating that day to the sewing room. Maybe plan ahead so supper is in the freezer.
Call this a mini-retreat, a therapeutic respite, or a Christmas workshop. The spirit is the same; we are all like elves preparing for that big day when we gift a quilt to someone. Many of us just need to breathe and create.
It is possible to register for one day or two or three. Please know that the cost is slightly less if you pay for the three day package. But this payment option gives you some flexibility, month to month.
AND IF YOU REGISTER FOR THE CHRISTMAS CLUB, you are given a discount to these mini-retreat days of sewing.
Six classes of guidance and instruction: April 15 and 22, May 13 and 20, June 17 and 24, 2-5:00 p.m. Eastern time.
Over an over again, I receive wish list requests for help with the Slice of Pi Exploding Hearts patterns. This is an awesome spring project, especially if you are wanting to complete this quilt in a timely manner, perhaps for a summer wedding gift.
Everyone will need to purchase the pattern and decide on fabrics. Know that the pattern is best made with the 8" Qube. However, it can be made bigger or smaller with bigger or smaller Qubes. I love that it is Accuquilt friendly.
One reason the class is popular: we motivate each other to stick with it. There are many repetitive shapes to cut and piece. If we can do that and chat at the same time, it's like a quilting bee. We encourage. Like we are cheerleaders for each other.
Click here to register. Claim your space. See you in April.
Thursday, February 5th, 2-5:00 p.m.
This quilt block has excited quilters for eons. It however is complicated and tedious to cut with rotary cutters. Well, Accuquilt has listened.
Accuquilt brings this die to us so all those pieces might be cut in one pass through the cutter. The results: a 14" quilt block that will enhance your quilt and make you smile.
It is my hope that you will participate in this class. Take the cellophane off your die and put it to good use. Let's play.
Thursday, February 19, 2-5:00 p.m. Eastern
Interesting. Hattie's Choice is a die created by Accuquilt. Not a lot of history here. It is simple. Not many pieces, and yet it gives us a diamond to play with. The 8" finished block is made with three colors and creates lovely secondary patterns when the block is repeated in quilt patterns. So that's the best mixture ever. Simple. Easy and with possibilities for your creative design.
How fun to come across a die that is fat quarter friendly. Make pillows, table runners, baby quilts, or bigger quilts. The design options are out there for you to enjoy. Fit this into your February calendar, and learn something new.
Friday, January 23 and February 6th, 2-5:00 p.m. Eastern time
Take completed quilt blocks and learn how to quilt them on your domestic machine. Square them. Learn to join them with a new method for sashings. Practicing the Pauline Rogers process, learn to complete your very own quilts and be proud of a job well done.
Recommended supplies. Pauline Rogers Quilt as you Go Handbook. Pauline Rogers Sasher tool set. Hobb's Heirloom cotton/polyester FUSIBLE batting. Clover double forked pins, and Roxanne's Glue Baste It Glue. All these supplies are available at my affiliate link: www.lindas.com/quiltersb.

Many exclaim, “I am terrible at choosing fabrics for my quilts.” So, let’s do a class and talk about that. I'm all in. Are you?
Allow me to give you tips and tricks for selecting fabrics. Talk values, shades, tints, dark, medium and light with me. Get into a helpful mindset for choosing just what you need next time around.
Remove the stress. Playing with fabric can be fun. I'll even give resources that are helpful for choosing color combos.
Interested? I hope you will take advantage of this amazing class. The next one is Tuesday, January 24th, 10-1:00 p.m.. Click here to register.
The beauty of quilting is the multitude of styles, approaches, perspectives, techniques, and art. Add in the wide variety of quilters 'out there' with their personal interests and anything is possible.
I am a teacher who listens. Your input is always welcome. I love the ideas you bring to the table. So, give me the kernel of a class and let me mull it over. We'll brainstorm and be creative.
Do you have a class wish list? Do you have ideas I should know about? By clicking here, share your wishes. I'm all ears.
There has been interest in the Arkansas Traveler. A number of folks informed me they needed support when removing the cellophane. So, a class with directions on how to use the die will be helpful. What a great way to start the new year!
This is a die with a cozy creative twist. We will look at inspirational patterns and examine what secondary patterns emerge when the block is used repeatedly. We will brainstorm about how this block could interact with other BOB dies to breathe life into a novel quilt. Interested? I hope so. Click here to register for this class: January 25th, 2-5:00 p.m. Eastern.
Monday, January 26th, 1-4:00 p.m. Eastern time
Carol Thelen is amazing. She is a member of our Learning and Support page. Her educational training was in engineering, and in retirement she reinvented herself by creating Quiltnotes.com.
In October, Carol taught us how to use Accuquilt, EQ8 and Quiltnotes in conjunction with one another. Her explanation is easy to understand, and opens the door to a whole new way of figuring yardage for pieced quilts. At the same time, we learn how to apply borders to quilts, make quilt layouts simple, and even design quilt blocks.
This is a class you do not want to miss. To register for class, click here. Save your space because we close this class at 50 students.
