Blending Quiltnotes and Accuquilt and EQ8
Friday, October 17th, 10-1:00 p.m., one 3-hour class
Check out Carol's quilt calculator at quiltnotes.com.
She has published books on Long Arm Quilting and shares many instructional YouTube videos.
We are honored to have Carol Thelen as a teacher through Accuquilt Learning and Support, and QuiltersB. She has agreed to bring her Quiltnotes 'Quilt Calculator' to us in conjunction with Accuquilt and EQ8.
For a long time, you have been asking that EQ8 questions might be answered, particularly as it works with our Accuquilt dies. So, I have talked with Carol and she - also a member of our Learning and Support page - has agreed to address your interest, concerns, and questions.
If this class goes well, Carol may grace us with her teaching in future classes. So, formulate your questions, and attend this class. After Carol's initial presentation, there will be plenty of time to dialogue.
From Carol: Join us for a hands-on virtual class where you’ll learn the basics of using Electric Quilt 8 software to create and customize quilt block designs. We’ll walk through how to draw a quilt block, explore grid and block size options, and find the exact patch sizes for your design.
Once you have patch measurements, we’ll show you how to use QuiltNotes.com to match those sizes with the correct AccuQuilt die and calculate fabric requirements. This class is perfect for anyone who wants to streamline their quilt planning process by combining EQ8, AccuQuilt and QuiltNotes.com.
What You’ll Learn:
1. How to navigate and draw quilt blocks in Electric Quilt
2. How to find and record accurate patch sizes for your design
3. Using the patch sizes, we'll show how to use QuiltNotes.com to select the right AccuQuilt dies and find fabric requirements for your project
By the end of class, you’ll have the skills and resources to design blocks with confidence and plan your cutting and fabric needs with ease!
ALL ZOOM classes are recorded and downloadable for 5 DAYS (120 hours) after the live class. The recording is e-mailed to registered students after class. Links to the pdf of the class PowerPoint is shared as a permanent reference for class content.
